Standing Dance Partner Positions Available for Dancers Using Wheelchairs $$$

We have a number of opportunities for able-bodied dance partners.

Widener Memorial School

Description: The Widener Wheelchair Ballroom and Latin Dance Classes teach high school and middle school students who use wheelchairs how to dance with a standing partner. ADF’s written and copyrighted dance program adapted from the traditional, able-bodied ballroom and Latin dance steps teaches the combination couples to dance rumba, cha-cha, swing, hustle, tango, and fox trot. The students have various physical disabilities. Some of the students are very athletic and others are more impaired, but all of them are eager to learn to dance for the same social and physical reasons that the able-bodied world enjoys. This is a great opportunity for people who like or want to learn to dance, people who are pursuing dance careers, and people going into physical, recreational, and occupational therapy. Everyone Can Dance!
